The Year 10 students have done a practical lesson on dissecting a lamb’s heart. By doing this dissection we were able to see and locate the left ventricle as well as the right ventricle. Moreover, we learnt that the heart is protected by a thick layer of muscle which is very tough and is not easy to cut. In addition, through this dissection, we were able to expand our understanding of how the organ works and how the inside of a heart looks visually.
